Job Summary:
The Tow Truck Driver / Car Jockey is responsible for the safe transport of vehicles within Toyota Zamboanga’s premises to customers or designated locations. The role involves operating tow trucks for vehicle recovery, transferring vehicles for servicing, and assisting with dealership logistics. The ideal candidate must possess basic automotive knowledge, have strong driving skills, and maintain a high level of professionalism in handling customer and company vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate tow trucks safely to recover or transport vehicles to and from Toyota Zamboanga.
- Drive customer and dealership vehicles as needed, ensuring proper handling and care.
- Ensure all transported vehicles are secured and free from damage during transport.
- Move vehicles within the dealership premises for servicing, parking, or display.
- Assist in organizing and managing vehicle inventory in designated areas.
- Ensure vehicles are properly aligned and parked following company standards.
- Conduct a basic inspection of vehicles before and after transport to check for any damages.
- Maintain proper records of transported vehicles, including trip logs and inspection reports.
- Report any vehicle issues, accidents, or concerns to the management immediately.
- Provide excellent customer service when handling vehicle pickups and deliveries.
- Explain the condition of the recovered or delivered vehicles to customers as needed.
- Assist in minor troubleshooting of vehicles when required.
- Adhere to all traffic and safety regulations while operating company vehicles.
- Follow dealership policies and procedures regarding vehicle handling and transport.
- Keep tow truck and other assigned vehicles clean and in good working condition.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduate of any four-year course.
- Good communication skills, both oral and written.
- Must have a valid driver’s license with restriction codes 1,2, and 3.
- Basic automotive knowledge to assist in minor vehicle troubleshooting.
- Ability to work independently and responsibly handle company assets.
- Strong attention to detail and organization skills.
